The working principle of the air oil separator filter element: The air compressed from the main engine head of the compressor is with oil droplets of different sizes. The large oil droplets are easy to separate through the oil-gas separation tank, while the small oil droplets (in a suspended state) must be filtered through the micron-level glass fiber filter material of the oil-gas separation filter element.After the oil mist is intercepted, diffused, and aggregated by the filter material, the small oil droplets quickly coalesce into large oil droplets, and pass through the filter layer under the action of pneumatic force and gravity, and settle at the bottom of the filter element. These oils continuously return to the lubrication system through the inlet of the oil return pipe at the concave part of the bottom of the filter element, so that the compressor can discharge relatively pure and high-quality compressed air.
Precautions for replacing the air oil separator filter element:
When the pressure difference between the two ends of the oil-gas separation filter element reaches 0.15MPa, it should be replaced; when the pressure difference is 0, it indicates that there is a fault in the filter element or the air flow has been short-circuited, and the filter element should also be replaced in a timely manner. Generally, the replacement time is 3000 to 4000 hours, and if the environment is poor, the service life will be shortened.
